The East African Chamber of Energy and Minerals (EACEM) was created to bring clarity, reliability, and professional oversight to two of the region’s most important industries. Our role is to support businesses and institutions involved in the extraction, processing, transportation, and export of minerals and energy products.

We issue recognized Certificates of Origin, guide exporters through documentation requirements, and help organizations meet the standards expected by international buyers and regulators.

Regional Relevance

East Africa is one of the continent’s most resource-rich regions. Tanzania’s gold and tanzanite, Rwanda’s 3T minerals, Uganda’s rare earth prospects, and Kenya’s geothermal energy capacity have drawn strong interest from global markets. Yet the success of these industries depends heavily on trusted documentation, traceability, and predictable regulatory processes.

EACEM serves as the bridge between the private sector, government institutions, and international partners, ensuring that trade flows smoothly and responsibly.
